CL-260 conversion to Ultimaker 2+ Clone
thingiverse
I purchased the CL-260 and chose to take it a step further by replacing all necessary parts to get something as close to the UM2+ as possible. Changes made on hardware include: * Switching electronics from MKS Board to UM2 Mainboard and Controllerboard * Swapping to 24V to match UM2 electronics * Replacing thermal sensors with PT100 * Upgrading Extruder to E3D clone, as the original one was subpar * Modifying heated bed to work with 24V * Adding some 24V LED lighting * Integrating a 24V@20A power supply * Moving Z-endstop from top to bottom to match UM2 behavior * Swapping extruder linear bearings for high precision 6 mm bearings * Switching fans to 24V versions * Replacing Z rods and bearings with high precision components * Enhancing spool holder * Upgrading print bed to UM2+ bed * Replacing feeder with geared UM2+ feeder (1.75 mm version) Changes made in software include: * Adapting UM2 firmware to match new configuration at https://github.com/siredmar/Ultimaker2Marlin * Modifying UM2+ FFF profile to match new configuration at https://github.com/siredmar/Ultimaker2CloneFFF Created designs include: * Frontpanel (front, rotary button, ..) based on original design files by Ultimaker at https://github.com/Ultimaker/Ultimaker2 * Mount for 230V power * Mounts to hold the base plate underneath the heated bed * Remixed "Ultimaker Clone" back panel * Remixed E3D V6 Mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3189591) * Remixed E3D Fan Duct (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3077378) * Remixed Ultimaker Clone back panel (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2822652) Early version of this printer can be seen at https://youtu.be/MpiJRpQA7z8
