CKL KVM Mounting bracket CKL-922HUA
thingiverse
The CKL-922HUA KVM from CKL does a fine job at switching between two, dual HDMI monitor setups... But the special cables aren't very long. The short cables + laptop + standing desk = KVM will need to be on the desk... Or, with this bracket, mounted somewhere under the desk. The KVM takes 4x M3 threaded bolts. I used M3x8mm without issue. 6mm are probably too short. I found 4, short, random wood screws in my junk pile so I don't know the measurements. I still ended up drilling out the bracket holes a little when I went to install it in order to avoid splitting the part. I designed the bracket tabs to reach past the top of the KVM, not the bottom. I don't know if it will work the other way. Detailed print settings: - I use a heavily modified Monoprice Select Mini V2 with a glass build plate, large power supply, running a custom build of Marlin. - Cura "Finer" setting with the following modifications - 50% infill - Cubic infill - 3d infills are so much stronger... - Brim build plate adhesion Note about 50% infill: My first print attempt was 22% infill on "Normal" and the thing crumbled in my hand after printing. I decided to cut my losses and let the silly thing print as much as it wanted so I didn't have to think about printing yet another one later. Also, if you're considering it, I suggest NOT using the Adaptive Layers feature under the Experimental section in Cura for mechanical parts like this... unless you can account for layer adhesion differences as the layer height changes. Those changes always happen at mechanical weak points and it's not worth the speed up just to reprint the thing.
