Playing Avalon Hill's Civilization and then later Advanced Civilization, one thing my group always struggled with was the stacks of commodity/trade cards on the AST progress sheet. They would constantly slide around, the stacks became a complete mess and were impossible to put cards on the bottom of. Then, one night between two sessions, I came up with this simple solution: a caddy that holds the cards at a slight angle with a recess. This keeps all the stacks perfectly clean and neat, makes pulling a card from a given stack much easier and more precise, and also makes discarding incredibly effortless. If you still play this game, I can't imagine how you manage to keep your cards in order, but I strongly recommend printing this or something similar. It is truly a game-changer.
