Civilian Covid-19 Mask Open Source Design
thingiverse
Entropic Industries here! We've developed an innovative Covid-19 mask designed for universal civilian use, engineered to be sustainable, reusable, and sanitizable. We're making our design freely available so any manufacturer or hobbyist with access to a CNC mill, 3D printer, or injection mold machine worldwide can start production. This design consists of six compact parts: four clampers (Mask Part 1), which secure the material in place, and two clips (Mask Part 2) that hold the clampers together. You can use any readily available materials at home for the clampers, such as a cloth, folded paper towel, or an old t-shirt piece. The clampers also feature convenient loops where you can insert elastic bands, paracord, or even rubber bands to secure the mask behind your ears or around the back of your head. After use, simply sanitize these parts and wash the fabric, or replace with a new piece of fabric. This design is not intended for medical use. Feel free to share this video with family and friends to help keep transmission rates low. Thank you and stay safe!
