Civil War Field Cannon Model Kit

This is an easily assembled scale model kit of a Civil War field cannon. I built it based on a design by apocalypse_67, who has generously allowed me to share this version. You can find the original 3D model here: http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/civil-war-cannon-91660.html. To make the model easier to print in pieces, I used Meshmixer to split it into manageable parts. The kit is mostly designed for snap-together assembly, but a few parts need glue. You'll find detailed assembly instructions in the accompanying files. The photos show how the model looks when printed with metallic silver and dark brown woodfill PLA filament. It gets an extra touch of realism from some carefully applied silver and gold acrylic paint.
