After cutting the middle separator flush to the laterals of the plastic you will have the old support for the 1din open on the tops, Using the lateral anchor you should be able to press fit it to the existing plastic. Doing this on both sides it will give to a way to support your 2din using the hooks. To completely secure it you can use a screw and bolt with a washer at the end. The front end that I designed it matched my car and stereo so not sure if will work for you but you could use it as a template or just make something else custom. Good luck!
