CityPlace Schooner Caulking Iron 1
sketchfab
Archaeological Services, Inc.'s excavation of the CityPlace schooner in downtown Toronto uncovered a laser-scanned model of a caulking iron found near the keel towards the stern of the wreck in 2015. This caulking iron would have been used to drive caulking into the seams of the early 19th-century merchant vessel, now located at the Fort York National Historic Site and currently being studied by scholars from the Nautical Archaeology Program at Texas A&M University.
