City of Blanos - Middle Eastern Faced Brick Buildings
thingiverse
The city of Blanos lies on the coast of a vast desert, its Persian-inspired architecture a key feature in a 5th edition D&D game world. These components form the understructure of middle-eastern brick buildings. Designed for printing and assembly, they can be shaped to your liking, then skinned with a cardstock layer that can be carefully cut away to reveal bricks in specific locations. An example of how this style could look when completed is attached. Doors and window shutters snap into place, rotating within frames to make it easier to create custom-shaped buildings with functioning doors and windows. The left and right sides of each join are designed to perfectly mate in any of the three orientations for a straight line or squared corner. With a good printer, you can achieve nice, snug joints that require minimal gluing to hold them together, though adding a building base made from cardboard or MDF is highly recommended. This style draws inspiration from 4Ground miniatures out of the UK and their incredibly detailed laser-cut building models.
