The Maya mb studio format contains mental ray materials, lighting setup, and environment. Other formats like Fbx, C4d, 3ds, Obj, 3dsmax, xsi, lwo come with default materials based on the Phong shader. You may need to change the path to HDRI maps at your computer for a correct render.
