Circus pygargus (Linnaeus, 1758) is a species of bird known as the Montagu's Harrier. This subspecies is characterized by its pale grey plumage and distinctive forked tail. The specimen in question was collected in Pla d'Urgell, Lleida, Spain on July 13, 2005. It measures 49.7 millimeters in depth and 32.5 millimeters in width, indicating a medium-sized bird of prey. The species is recognized as a female adult Montagu's Harrier.
