The Ringling Bros. circus cage wagon kit is based on a plan from Little Circuswagon Issue 5 (2007), published by CIRCUS MODEL BUILDERS, INC. INTERNATIONAL. For more information, visit www.circusmodelbuilders.com. The model adopts a 1:48 scale, with each quarter-inch representing one foot. Cubify Invent was used for basic modeling, while sculpted scroll work was achieved using Photo to Mesh by Ransen Software. Autodesk Meshmixer combined the two models. Laurencio's Hippo (thingiverse.com/thing:10443) provides inspiration for the cage, which I modified in Meshmixer to depict an emergent hippo within the wagon's water tank, scaled down to a pigmy size. Assembly begins with the bottom ends and sides, allowing roof installation to absorb any tolerance discrepancies.
