This model was designed specifically for the Sketchfab May Challenge: Sci-Fi Circus Sculpting. The creature featured here is a Monstrare crystallus, a being that can be found in an intergalactic circus as it travels throughout the galaxy. Monstrare crystallus are known to be intelligent beings. Unfortunately, their people were once enslaved by humans and forced to work in the mines of their home planet. The rare crystals that grow on their backs are identical to those found in these mines. These crystals are used as a cheap, self-powered light source for spaceships. On the back of Monstrare crystallus, these crystals are charged by their emotions. If you notice one with a glowing back, it's best to leave quickly, as they are likely to attack at any moment!
