The Northern Harrier, Circus cyaneus, is a bird of prey that breeds in northern parts of North America, Europe, and Asia. Its pale morph, arpellal pàl·lida, is also known as the Pale Harrier or Hen Harrier. A juvenile specimen, MZB 2006-0384, had its pelvis examined. The measurements are significant: 52.3 mm in depth and 34.3 mm in width. This young bird was discovered in Vilajuïga, a town in the Alt Empordà region of Girona province in Spain on November 12th, 2005.
