thingiverse
This is a demonstration of circular printing in OpenSCAD, based on a lookup table. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- !! V3 is a test version for "planar circular". Use V2 if you need pure cylindrical !! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The method enables the placement of text on a circular object (ring, bracelet, bottle, cylinder, ...) The comments in the source guide users to: 1. Define the characters in the required sequence. The decimal values of ASCII characters are used. (Set the correct angle values in the table according to your angle parameter) 2. Adapt the parameters (size, etc.). Place the correct number of characters. 3. Define the base object (respect the radius ("ra") value chosen in the parameters!) V2: Added a font name parameter, corrected a small angle error in each character placement. V3: Experimental, planar printing, adjust as needed! It also features an easy list of ASCII printable characters.
