Circular Holes Marking Template
thingiverse
This is a template for making equally-spaced dots in a circular pattern, e.g. for drilling a number of equally-spaced holes all at the same radius from center. In my case, I was building a wind chime and wanted precise locations in the top piece to place the strings for the hanging chimes. I thought this template/jig would be better than using a protractor, albeit it took a bit more time to write the code and print it (I get sidetracked easily :-) One can obviously mark every other, 3rd, or 4th hole etc if you'd like fewer holes. If the marks are not at the desired radius, make a mark and then draw a line from the center to whatever radial distance you prefer (or of course you could scale this design). SCAD file included for further customization.
