Circuit Playground Express Enclosure of the Empire
thingiverse
The Empire demands a custom enclosure for its prized Adafruit Circuit Playground Express (CPX) project. Behold, a casing that even the most discerning Sith Lord or Emperor would covet. Its snap-fit lid securely holds your CPX in place, while threaded inserts ensure a snug fit and prevent any Rebel sabotage. Ports are strategically positioned for wires, power, and USB connectivity, with space reserved for a compact LiPo battery to fuel your project's ambition. Access to the input and reset buttons on the CPX is effortless through carefully crafted openings in the lid. For those Rebels who refuse to surrender, an alternate lid design is available - a testament to our willingness to adapt and overcome. I designed this enclosure specifically for my K2S0 head replica (available on Thingiverse) where I integrated LEDs into the eyes. However, its versatility makes it suitable for any project that requires an external microcontroller. Whether you're building a Death Star or a humble moisture vaporator, this enclosure has got you covered. An update to the design has been implemented, enlarging the micro-USB port opening to accommodate a wider range of cables. Suggestions are welcome - perhaps more wiring space or additional room for a battery? A modular version is in development, ready to revolutionize your CPX projects.
