Circle Fraction Cutters (Play Doh)
thingiverse
This is a manipulative set designed to help young children learn to partition circles into equal parts. Children can often cut into halves and fourths easily but have a more difficult time with odd number partitions and some other combinations. This is designed so that there are two circles:1) a circle with one radii built in and others that can be added and moved so that the partitions become equal for that number of parts. This encourages children to recognize the need to use the center of the circle and not cut all the way through the circle.2) a circle with only the center marked. This is particularly useful to have children cut with play-doh and then attempt to mimic the layout of a circle with the moveable radii.
