Circle Cut Diamond
thingiverse
This is a precision-cut diamond I carefully crafted using advanced diamond-cutting techniques and methods. Researching these techniques for several days, I discovered they are indeed intricate and complex. Bringing the design to life was challenging but rewarding, requiring three attempts and numerous reference planes to set up. Initially, I aimed to complete it mathematically, but as the project progressed, I adapted "edit-and-perceive" techniques to achieve the desired result. To create this model, I utilized Autodesk's Fusion 360 for modeling and STL generation, followed by MakerWare for creating OBJ and THING files. I've included several renderings of the diamond, created using Fusion 360. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulties in achieving a red refraction effect to give the diamond its signature "fiery" appearance within Fusion 360. However, with precise angles, accurate lighting, and suitable textures (available in software like 3DS Max or Blender), this model should exhibit exceptional brilliance and scintillation. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in using this model for commercial purposes. While I'm open to selling it, I would appreciate compensation if you plan to profit from its use.
