Circle Compass
thingiverse
I designed a parametric compass inspired by the "Circle Master" compass using OpenScad with some clever circle mathematics incorporated into the model. To assemble it, I simply need an M3 bolt. Although I'm still working on creating a better stylus, the compass functions flawlessly so far! To create a sharp point for my stylus, I modified a screw by cutting off its head and threading the remaining part into the opening at the tip of the stylus. The exposed end of the screw serves as a precise pointer. Alternatively, you can use two pencils to replicate the compass without 3D printing the stylus. One pencil acts as a sharp point for the center, while the other pencil draws the circle accurately. This compass is ideal for high school geometry students who need a reliable tool for their studies.
