Circle Base Solids
cults3d
These are examples of "Solids of Known Cross Sections" similar to those often discussed in Calculus courses when learning integration for finding volumes. The base of this solid is a circle. One set (full and half) has square cross sections. The other set (full and half) has equilateral triangle cross sections. The shapes are each a single model. I printed the "half" models using multiple processes with my Palette to illustrate the cross sections and to have each printed layer the actual shape of the cross section. Note that the STL files are rather large. They were designed with Wolfram Mathematica and I rendered them with a very high resolution so that they would scale up well.
