Conmemorative plaque dedicated to the Roman amphitheater of Italica in the 19th century. The inscription is engraved with a fragment from the poem that 17th-century scholar Rodrigo Caro wrote about the ruins of Italica. This desecrated amphitheater, an impious honor for gods, whose affront is publicly displayed by the yellow jaramago, now reduced to a tragic theater, Oh, fable of time! represents how great it once was and how much destruction it has caused.
