CinePunk3 R3 - 3D printed cinematic quadcopter frame
thingiverse
CinePunk Release 3 (3 inch) A symmetrical, modular cinematic quadcopter frame designed for flexibility and modularity. Dual HD camera support is built in with cameras mounted on the front and rear of the frame. Both flexible (TPU) and stiff (PETG) duct versions are supported by this design. A removable propeller ring allows for TPU duct geometry compatibility. The propeller ring can be easily changed to adjust the gap between the propeller tip and duct. Modularity makes repair or printing easy, requiring almost no supports. The top plate is designed to be easily replaced with a reduced number of screws needed. Printed spacers with rotation blockers are included for added stability. Motor arms have been optimized for better airflow efficiency. USB plug access is convenient, with tunnels from the sides allowing for easy connection without an angle plug. M2 5-8 mm screws (with optional washers) make assembly straightforward. General notes indicate this frame is designed to be strong and stiff after assembly, making flexible plates a non-issue. Proper motors are recommended, such as the emax rs1606, which has been tested for power efficiency. Bullnose propellers and small clearance provide the best efficiency and flight time. For security concerns, lighter frames may be preferred. An extra plate is included as a template for custom HD camera mounts. The GoProp camera mount (round screws) can be used with a spacer below the mount. To-do items include: HD camera mounts Extra mounts for foam ducts Alternative camera and antenna mounts Carbon fiber plates Versions include: 2020-03-05 v0.150 - first public release
