Heavily inspired by the rugged highlands, I aimed to seamlessly blend dramatic cliffs with gentle rolling hills and expansive terraces into one cohesive landscape. Discover numerous sites that dramatically shift perspective simply by altering camera angle and direction. The texturing plays a significant role in its diversity, as small and medium rocks are dispersed along the terrain's flow and deposition, mimicking natural processes. With this intricate procedurally generated terrain, I sought to sidestep the monotonous, uniform erosion commonly found in many other landscapes. Designed to serve optimally as a matte painting foundation and for distant aerial views or placing in the background of a scene, it showcases exceptional versatility. Textures are rendered at 4K resolution, providing unparalleled detail and clarity. Supplemental files include a heightmap and splatmap, enabling users to incorporate detailed textures. A range of masks – such as stone, soil, flow, and cavity – are also included. To further enhance usability, numerous low-poly models are provided, ranging from 5k to 50k tris.
