I recommend utilizing a rigid yet pliable material. I opted for ninjaflex armadillo TPU, which is among the sturdiest TPU materials currently available on the market. Standard TPU will likely prove too flexible for this application. Other materials that combine stiffness with resistance to fracture could also be viable alternatives.
