I flew the V1 for about 3 months. It worked well, but when the Avatar Moonlight Camera came in I decided it was time for a full redesign. My main goal was to make the VTX kit/camera modular, so I can swap it from one frame to another without tools. I also opted for a recessed mounted battery just to experiment a bit, as well as keeping it all low profile (I'm a simp for slammed builds). V1 was a puller config, V2 is a pusher.I Pulled inspiration from the Sub250 Dolyfly 25, DrQuads Babytank, and another mid mount battery design I forgot the name of... As for the build I used Gemfan D63 Props, as well as the parts included in the model. It is closer to 330g so definitely not sub 250g , as my focus was to beef up the frame more than stay bellow the weight limit. Using a carbon fiber top plate, and a smaller 720mah battery, as well as shedding some of the TPU protection, it's quite possible and I may design a variant that is sub 250g. Also, all standoffs are M3x15mm. Using M2 hardware might help shed the weight as well. For now, it is printed in LW PLA at 20x wall perimeters , 30% Infill, to be damn near solid. Printing at 100% is the goal, I just found it faster to do that with wall thickness then with infill. Same goes for all the TPU parts. I plan on getting the top plate cut in carbon fiber, but I think I will stick to printed materials for the prop guards to make for easy repairs at home, possibly might use ASA. I've crashed this thing... A lot. Broke the moonlight ND filter, but the frame has held up, of course YMMV...
