I remixed some existing work by other designers here, and my plan was to use a sleek design of a duct, but make it sturdy enough to withstand impacts since I'm still learning the art of cinewhooping. So, I modified the ducts to have detachable supports that maximize airflow while also allowing for mountings that can be secured with zip ties to create a solid, robust structure. The end result is a single duct that can be mirrored for all four corners of my acrobat frame. This duct mounts between the motor and the frame, so I'll need longer motor screws and zip ties to secure the two mounting points onto the two frame arms on each end - one inside the duct and the other outside the duct over the wire channel in the duct. I remixed the flex mount for my Hero7 to move the GoPro as far forward as possible without obstructing the view of the ducts, and the flex absorbs all vibrations for a jello-free image. Lastly, I created a micro CM flex mount to lower the height of my micro cam and get as much field of view as possible through the ducts. This allowed me to move the microcam forward and down and easily install it on the lower horizontal standoff. I'm very pleased with the result - the ducts weigh in at about 27 grams each, so it's a bit heavy once you add the GoPro and battery, but the results I'm getting are super smooth, and my cinewhoop still has plenty of power to pop if needed, thanks to the Avenger motors and 3050 props, which have been sanded down for tight clearance. The angles of the flat surfaces on the ducts aren't parallel to the frame - this gives me a bit more space for a fatter battery if needed and allows some cooling for my electronics.
