This 1834 marble statue features Cincinnatus standing confidently naked, leaning against a column with his legs crossed at the shins. His left hand holds an object in front of him while his right hand rests on his waist behind him. As a renowned aristocrat, Cincinnatus willingly relinquished power after serving Rome as Dictator during tumultuous periods. Despite being an opponent to the Plebians, he was surprisingly chosen to be Rome's Dictator. Denis Foyatier, a French sculptor born in 1793 and passed away in 1863, created this statue. His son, Jules Blanchard, also became an artist. Unfortunately, some of Foyatier's works have been lost, including those that were melted down during WWII. This object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access. Scan The World is an open-source community effort where anyone can contribute interesting items by emailing stw@myminifactory.com. Scanned using Photogrammetry (Processed with Agisoft PhotoScan)
