I created a functional solution to the cigarette lighter console housing failure, crafting a custom design that slipped neatly into place. This innovative design was my maiden contribution to thingiverse, and I'm encouraging users to build upon or modify it as they see fit. The lightweight aluminum material allows for easy fabrication with minimal waste. To reinforce the structure, stress relief lines were added along the cylindrical body of the lighter console, preventing it from cracking under pressure. I printed this design in PLA using standard settings, achieving a perfect fit that eliminates slipping. Additionally, I implemented two strategically placed rectangular cutouts within the housing to create secure anchoring points for the lighter's placement. To facilitate effortless assembly, I employed thermal pressure to press the cylinder into place. This innovative solution has already been beneficial in my own experiences, and I'm optimistic it will help others with similar console issues.
