I was searching for a case to store charging cables and adapters in my back pocket when I stumbled upon this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00654O9AC. It held up surprisingly well under the weight of a 200-pound person sitting on it, but its durability eventually wore off after a few weeks. The top and bottom of the case would gradually misalign, causing it to lose all its strength and collapse. I decided to take matters into my own hands by designing and printing two custom pieces that prevent lateral movement: a positive piece and a negative counterpart. These parts were securely attached to the corners using double-bubble high-peel epoxy. To ensure the case could still close completely, I offset the design by 0.005 inches. However, if you're using PLA, which is prone to warping, you'll likely need more clearance. A good starting point would be to make the pin on the positive side smaller.
