cigarette case coffin
thingiverse
I printed a model using the human skeleton design from Thingiverse, specifically thing number 660681. The source is available for anyone to access. The print settings included using woodfill with a layer thickness of 0.2mm and copperfill with a layer thickness of just 0.1mm. This added an extra level of detail to the model. To enhance the appearance of the copperfill, I oxidized it using a mixture of ammonia, vinegar, and salt. The result was a beautiful patina that added depth to the overall design. The shaft used for this print had a diameter of 1mm, with a hole of 1.4mm drilled into it. This provided a secure mounting point for the magnets. Three small magnets were also used in this project, each measuring 3mm x 1.5mm in size. They added a touch of functionality to the model. Note: A newer version of this design is available on Thingiverse under thing number 2746258.
