Châteauneuf-lès-Moustiers, a tiny village in the Verdon gorge that was once home to up to 600 residents in the 19th century. Today, only remnants of this community remain due to harsh living conditions. The villagers were forced to leave their homes. Located at an elevation of 1000 meters in Haute-Provence, Châteauf-lès-Moustiers is now a village reduced to rubble. The last surviving resident departed the village in 1932.
