Château de Beauregard (Jura)
sketchfab
The castle of Beauregard is situated at 660 meters altitude, at the southern tip of the Coast of Today. It's composed of a massive hexagonal keep, flanked by a projecting turret, a strong house and barns surrounded by an enclosure preceded by ditches dug into the living rock. This strategic location controls two communication routes: the Salins road leading from Poligny to Lyon and the Heute section allowing access to the Ain Valley just two kilometers south of the Rette path connecting Lons-le-Saunier to Blye, where the Ain was crossed by ferry.
