St. Mary's Church, also called Marienkirche in German, is a church found in Berlin, Germany on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße (previously Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße) close to Alexanderplatz. The precise age of the initial site and structure remains uncertain, but it was first mentioned in German records in 1292, possibly dating back to the 13th century's early phase. The church has gone through significant restoration work in the late 19th century and post-war era, shaping its architecture largely. Initially a Roman Catholic church, it became a Lutheran Protestant one during the Reformation and later a united Protestant church following Prussian Union of churches in 1817.
