The temple, crafted between 1667 and 1700 by members of The Society of Jesus, includes an additional architectural masterpiece - the tower - constructed in 1755. Intricate historical details can be observed on certain parts of the walls, including those of the facade and the central altar, built with stones provided by locals from Loreto Reduction during colonial times. Another remarkable feature is a beautifully painted image of Immaculate Conception created by Luis Berger, a Jesuit, in 1634. In an incredible event witnessed on May 9, 1636, streams of water suddenly began flowing out of the Virgin's image. The astonishing phenomenon led to significant commotion in the city and caught everyone's attention. As for the miraculous properties attributed to this water by neighbors, it found its way to name and consecrate a church: Our Lady of Miracles.
