<p>A fully 3d printed chuck style model painting handle that doesn't require any purchased hardware like my last model.</p><p>The 3mf file contains all the parts oriented properly for printing as well as supports and support blockers for easy printing, as well as properly named.</p><p>The STL is the fully assembled model which will need to be separated into parts and reoriented to be used.</p><p>The jaws should be printed hook end down on the print bed you only need 3 of one size of jaw. There are variants for 1mm, 1.5mm and 2mm height as well as a small and large diameter.</p><p>Small size jaws fit approximately 23mm to 45mm. <br>Large size jaws fit approximately 33mm to 57mm.</p><p>Handle, no support needed, a fuzzy skin modifier is included in the 3mf file for a more textured grip.</p><p>Socket plate, no supports needed, probably print with a brim to hold it more stable.</p><p>Nut plate, this needs supports for the inner cutouts, so a supports from build plate should be enough.</p><p> </p><p>To assemble:</p><ol><li>Screw the socket plate with the spiral grooves to the top of the handle.<br><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/117800/rich_content/bf7c5d6e-fa71-4be5-98e1-06f44ed86c15/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%2288c25074-a0b9-45a2-bb19-7aa0e1f61efc%22%2C%22w%22%3A614%2C%22h%22%3A737%7D"></li><li>Snap the nut plate with the flange onto the socket plate.<br><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/117800/rich_content/7a9f6208-5a9b-4891-bb68-e32fb318a4ce/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22e50924a1-c464-4ede-815e-fcd82c14f0bd%22%2C%22w%22%3A660%2C%22h%22%3A783%7D"></li><li>Rotate the nut plate so that the end of the spiral groove is visible at the outer end of the slot.</li><li><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/117800/rich_content/2ea03131-26b8-443c-93e5-a21dcffa1be7/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22d00ca568-97c2-40bc-ae95-7b3d1f0d3061%22%2C%22w%22%3A719%2C%22h%22%3A594%7D"></li><li>Insert jaws so that the peg fits into the spiral groove and it moves inward when the nut plate is rotated.<br><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/117800/rich_content/ad843e78-e3a6-4ff6-bc92-b140da0d23e9/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%220f6baac8-06b5-4229-8ef9-35dfb48a8a24%22%2C%22w%22%3A605%2C%22h%22%3A672%7D"></li><li>Jaws can be removed and swapped out when fully extended.<br><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/117800/rich_content/9fd57b96-d9df-4a20-a856-69bdae1d147b/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22d7082182-2e02-45ab-8497-03e55247ec4b%22%2C%22w%22%3A560%2C%22h%22%3A700%7D"></li></ol><p>2022-01-23 Added a version of the slotted disc with a knurled edge that protrudes out from the top plate so that a knurled edge is still accessible and the entire head assembly can still be unscrewed.</p><p> </p>
