Chuck Holder to mount M33 Wood-Lathe-Chucks on a wall

Yet another M33 wall mount :-) -------------------- I'm seeking assistance and input to optimize this design. Produce examples of successful implementations. Use them effectively. Inform me about usability, longevity, or any breakdowns that occur. Final Goal: - OpenSCAD file for everyone to customize desired clearance (in progress). - Detailed instructions on how to achieve the best results. ----------------------- Two aspects are new: <b>1. Customer Convenience</b> It's not as easy as you think to attach a chuck or similar device to a wall-mounted bolt - although the thread fits. The problem is inserting the external thread or placing it on the bolt. A solution is to provide an attachment aid or lead-in. Therefore, the thread doesn't reach the end of the bolt. The bare (threadless) part of the bolt serves as the lead-in. Simply place it on the bolt and turn one full rotation to the right - that's all. <b>2. Manufacturability</b> Printing this design requires sufficient clearance in the thread to ensure free turning and usability. As a result, production interacts with print quality you may be able to achieve. Therefore, I designed it using OpenSCAD. Instead of the theoretical 33mm value (reduced by clearance), someone might prefer 32.7 or less to make it fit. ---------------------------------- I've produced several of these using normal PLA. Some had almost too little clearance and needed rework. After a while, two carrying heavy chucks broke. Some others seem to work fine for a considerable amount of time - even though printed with PLA. So I produced two more in ABS to replace the broken ones. I achieved much better print quality - among other things by using support structures in the thread area. ----------------------------
