Chuck Guard
thingiverse
Simple guard / stop for a drill bit with a 10mm shank. Bought [this long foot long, 3/16" drill bit](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WI5WE4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00) for drilling holes in our lawn for lawn signs. Designed and printed this guard to keep the drill's chuck from hitting the ground and picking up dirt. At first thought this was overkill given the 12" drill bit, but it turns out it easy to overshot once you get to the bottom side of the frost line, so did save my drill a few times. Includes a hole in collar for a M3 set screw, with a pocket on the inside for a corresponding hex nut (which can be a bit fiddly to get in).
