Chrysler rear brake caliper tool 8807_v4.

When placing new brake pads on the rear of a Chrysler or Dodge minivan you have to retract the brake caliper piston. This is done by screwing it in clockwise. It requires a special tool like because the odd shape of the face of the piston. I remixed this from itech3dp's version to recess the wedge shaped features which interlock with the face of the piston. This made it fit on the face of the piston in a more stable manner so that the cylindrical collar kept the tool centered. I also enlarged the same collar about 0,8mm as the original was too tight. Usage tip: I found that if you attached the bottom of the piston housing to the top part of the caliper assembly (just finger tighten in with one bolt) it will hold the piston assembly in place and make it MUCH easier to use the tool. (see photo) Note: The hole for the 3/8 inch socket drive is very tight and I found it necessary to tap it in with a hammer. You might want to print more than one - they do wear, especially if you slip (see photo).
