Chrysler LeBaron Quarter Window Track Repair
thingiverse
1987-1995 Chrysler LeBaron convertible rear quarter window track weatherstripping repair. The rear quarter window motors often fail, leading to owners carelessly putting the top up and down with the rear quarter windows in the fully up position. Which you are not supposed to do because the vertical rubber weatherstripping tracks will get pinched by the glass. But people do it anyway for years and years, and the rubber is eventually deformed and wants to stay folded over itself. Fix your motors first. Then print a few of these and insert them in the window tracks. These will hold them in their intended shape. I only needed one for each side. I recommend spraying the rubber with silicone lubricant spray afterwards so the glass will move easily. Be very gentle installing these as all of this rubber is 20+ years old and can break or tear easily. Select a location along the track that is the center of the deformation. You can insert these in a healthy, flexible location and gently walk it up or down to the desired location. The rubber track can also be removed from the metal holder, but they are glued in place with weatherstripping adhesive. At this age, if you are gentle, the glue does not put up much of a fight and removing the rubber track at least partially will be the easiest way to get these into them.
