To securely store Chromecast in a backpack, I designed a simple HDMI port cover with a small tab that creates friction against the plug. This keeps the cover on while transporting. Enhancements could include additional side tabs for balance or a perfect fit. My timelapse can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mhgK3YbO5w. I printed mine on a Solidoodle 3 at 0.3mm layer height, but you could opt for 0.1mm for a smoother finish or try post-processing techniques.
