Chromatrope Tube Holder for 3# Gerbs

This is a tube mounting device for 3D printing to build a Chromatrope Fireworks Wheel. The tube holder is designed to fit 3# NEPT paper tubes. It is also designed to fit onto wooden strips measuring 3/4" x 1-1/2" x 48" long. It consists of a rectangular box and two tubes rotated 45 degrees on each side of the mounting box. The holder is screwed to the ends of wooden strips and holds two 3# gerbs mounted at forty-five degree angles for thrust of the Chromatrope. The tube holders are intentionally loose fitting to handle 3# heavy walled tubes with slighly different outer diameters (O.D.) Each tube holder has mounting screws (#8 x 3/8" Sheet Metal Screws) which are used to hold the 3# gerbs in place on each wooden stick. The screws should be tightened enough to secure the paper tubes without actually piercing them. I have found the grey resin to be the best choice for durabilty and heat resistance. The design may be modified to fit different sized tubes and wooden strips.
