Chromatic harmonica Prototype
thingiverse
The chromatic harmonica was designed on Solidworks, featuring parts crafted from PLA via the Ultimaker 2 and laser-cut acrylic sheets. A fully functional slide plate is achieved when a torsion spring is incorporated. However, the only audible sound produced is three distinct pitched squeaks. The two halves of the comb are connected using plastic weld (Dyclo), as well as the reeds and top reed plates. Holes for bolts to pass through were drilled using a 3mm drill bit and secured with M3 bolts.
