Coney Island Scan-A-Rama debuted its new scanning rig- the Scan-O-Tron 3000 at Danbury Makerfaire's booth on June 8, 2013, using an Xbox Kinect and ReconstructMe. The scans were beautiful, leading to a planned Kickstarter for this innovative 3D portrait studio. Open sourcing of the Scan-O-Tron 3000 plans is also in the works, so stay tuned.
