Christmas Village lamp shade

This is a creative fusion of two original designs. The honeycomb lamp shade was resized to fit snugly on top of a lamp, with the top modified to securely hold the village in place. The village itself underwent significant resizing to accommodate the larger lamp shade and was hollowed out to optimize light transmission through its windows. This deliberate design choice allowed for better illumination within the miniature scene. Santa's sleigh, too, was resized to fit comfortably on the enlarged lamp shade, showcasing a harmonious blend of proportions. To bring this unique creation to life, the lamp shade underwent printing at an optimal layer height of 0.2 mm, with a generous 40% fill density and three robust wall layers. The print speed was set at 70 mm/s, resulting in a printing time of approximately 34 hours. In contrast, the top portion of the design was printed using more refined settings: a lower layer height of 0.1 mm, 40% fill density, and three solid walls. To achieve this intricate detail, the print speed was initially set at 80 mm/s for the first 75 layers before gradually slowing down to 45 mm/s, coinciding with the onset of house construction on the 77th layer. This nuanced approach allowed for a precise and detailed outcome, requiring a total printing time of around 23 hours. Santa's miniature figure, meanwhile, can be printed in approximately 12 minutes at an optimal layer height of 0.2 mm and a print speed of 60 mm/s. Once printed, the figurine requires gentle heat and bending to perfectly conform to the shape of the lamp, creating a seamless integration with its surroundings. This remarkable fusion of two designs serves as a testament to the versatility and creative potential of 3D printing technology, allowing for the production of intricate and detailed miniature scenes that would be impossible to achieve through traditional manufacturing methods.
