This model showcases the Advent House from Chevy Chase's movie Christmas Vacation. It was utilized sparingly throughout the film, where opening windows served as a visual cue to mark the passage of time. 11/10/19 The PDF files were updated to include roof part dimensions. A couple of years ago, this project was completed, but unfortunately, it was stored in the attic over summer. As a result, PLA windows warped severely, rendering them unusable. Consequently, they wouldn't open properly. I rebuilt the model and am now sharing it online to provide ample time for those who want to create their own Advent House before Christmas. Since this is a 3D printed design, I incorporated more intricate details in the window frames, etc., compared to the movie's version. The skylight, windows, front door, and roof trim were all 3D printed. The primary structure is made from fiber board, coupled with a piece of 3/4 inch pine for the base. This will necessitate some woodworking tools to assemble. Enjoy this model!
