Pause your print job after about 3mm (approximately 97% of the print completed) without a raft to switch up your color scheme and add the finishing touches to your tree. This tree has a few nuances: its unique 8-sided design makes it slightly more complex compared to other Christmas trees created with similar methods, requiring attention to details for precise placement of colors. If you're using a Replicator 2 printer without a raft or support structures, use these print settings: 3 shells and 20% fill, at 0.20mm resolution - your tree will turn out well this way! Print the star with a raft if desired and three shells at 50% infill to give it more density and visual appeal. The color swap point for decoration comes when you reach 97% completion (or 3mm height). Print each part of this design on its own. You'll be pleased by natural PLA's unique glossy sheen, making your star really stand out! For proper setup of your Christmas tree model using the provided parts: a. Be sure to print it with 'raft enabled'. Using only 3 shells and high density material at 0.20mm layer thickness, you can achieve great results. b. The central piece features carefully engineered in-print support - once removed, it reveals the stem, giving some extra length to hold itself steady against top lower part points on the tree assembly while allowing easier integration if you maintain perfect printing settings! Important Print Setup Notes: a) Recommend levelling of your build plate carefully beforehand since delicate underside components could otherwise peel away in the course of the print. b) For raft enabled printing, account for increased build thickness before filament color changes during printing to obtain correct visual appearance and accurate model alignment.
