This device lets me see  if I need to refill the water for the Christmas tree from across the room.  It is a simple float and only tells full or low.    The design shown here is a snow flake.  Nevertheless, you could easily make your own design. It is designed to be printed with no supports. The float should have the flat base on the build plate.  The clip should be printed with the top pointed down on the build plate. The snowflake should be printed flat on the build plate.  It is fragile so carefully remove it from the build plate.After printing, the shaft on the float needs to be sanded so it slides smoothly in the holder. The snow flake can rest loosely in the top of the float or can be glued in with a touch of superglue.Pictures are shown of the parts, the fully assembled float and the float in use from a couple of angles. The float is hollow in the middle.The model was designed in OpenSCAD.
