For those without the space, budget, or pets that might ravage a genuine tree, I've crafted an artificial Christmas tree with a sturdy base fashioned from an empty actual filament spool. Additionally, this base is constructed from the empty original filament box since if you possess the filament and spool, it's likely you also have the packaging. On the lid of the box resides a [HEMMA fixture from IKEA](http://www.ikea.com/nl/nl/catalog/products/00306741/), which houses an E27 RGB LED bulb to create an ambiance-enhancing glow.
