Christmas Tree Trunk Cover
thingiverse
I got a fantastic Christmas present from Robagon's Tree for Gloomhaven, and it was a game-changer for our holiday decorations! The tree trunk was incredibly detailed and looked amazing even before I finished printing it. In fact, it already looked great just as it was! To print your own tree trunk in the perfect scale for your tree, simply load the dimensions into your slicing tool or use the provided Blender files to re-export the STL. Keep in mind that unless you have a massive printer, you'll likely want to print one side at a time to get a cleaner finish. Even if you do have a big printer, I highly recommend printing one side at a time for the best results. I printed my tree trunk using PLA filament, and it turned out perfectly without any painting needed. However, if you live in a warm climate like me here in Florida, be aware that PLA can't handle high heat, so don't store your print in an attic with other Christmas gear unless you use something that can withstand the heat. Trust me, I learned this the hard way! Thanks again to Robagon for creating such an awesome tree trunk! My wife was thrilled when we finally hid the metal pole behind our Christmas village, and it's all thanks to their fantastic design.
