Christmas Tree Topper

Christmas Tree Topper

Need an easy to print christmas tree topper? This one is designed to fit in the build volume of a Prusa printer (20cm height) and works without supports. To print the overhangs without curling, print it slow and with the fan on 100%! To be on the save side, I set the small perimeter speed to 15mm/s which worked perfect. A note for Slic3r / PrusaSlicer users: Ensure the slicer doesn't place top/bottom layer "snipplets" inside the ornament parts. This will increase the print time and create a lot of heat in the overhang regions which will lead to curling. The way I got this, is to set top/bottom layers to 0 and then create cylindrical modifiers for the tip and the center where the tree inserts into where I set the wanted top/bottom layer count as needed.
